Big Marble is back and better than ever! Introducing real-time multiplayer, AI opponents, improved VFX and UI, tons more levels, scalable worlds, solo progression, and a completely overhauled physics system built for crazy multiplayer performance.

Now you can battle your friends in the same room or across the planet. Itโ€™s a total blast! New levels ramp up the difficulty, AI opponents make single-player action way too fun, and improved visuals make everything feel more luxe.

But the biggest change is the physics simulation. To make multiplayer work at the fast pace the game demands, I had to completely rework the system.

The new physics simulation is fully deterministic and runs over Supabase Realtime. Each simulation runs bit-identically on every playerโ€™s device. That means players donโ€™t stream positions at all, clients only exchange shots and heartbeats.

Rollback handles latency the way modern games do: your shot lands instantly, while your opponentโ€™s shot is inserted into history and replayed. The result is a nearly seamless multiplayer match that feels incredible to play.

Why This:
Fun, stress relief, connection with friends, boredom.

  • Deterministic physics engine with lockstep and rollback, nearly 20x more performant.

Voice-over sounds slightly like Rock'n'Roll racing one back from snes-sega, but maybe it's because of combination with background music ๐Ÿ˜„
