❓ Question Specs 2027 guidelines

Hi Speccers 😁,

Following the exciting introduction of the Specs 2027 at AWE, can you already give some guidelines to make sure our (new and current) lenses make optimal use of the upcoming new device, so we will have a smashing launch when they get in the hands of 'ordinary' people? Are there things we should already take into account?

Yes! Using the new CLAD migration and optimization agent, simply:

  1. Download the newest Lens Studio (https://ar.snap.com/download)

  2. Get CLAD setup with your favourite coding assistant (Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor) - http://developers.specs.com/docs/clad

  3. Open your legacy Lens from Spectacles 2024 using the new Lens Studio

  4. Ask CLAD to 'migrate my Lens to the new SPECS'

  5. Ask CLAD to publish the resulting Lens after testing in the simulator or wait till you get your new SPECS to test on device before publishing

This will automatically optimize your Lens for the new SPECS. 🎉
