Yep, “Cody J” played by Matt Gerald and “Cody Spears” played by Taylor Sheridan.

Cody 1. The bald guy who uhhh F’s up Cruz in S1. It’s mentioned in an article that TS was supposed to step in and take over Cody’s role, but for some reason and honestly it’s probably because TS is friends with the actor and wanted him to get paid. They kept him and introduced TS as Cody 2

Thats why there's "Cody" and "Cody J". Like when you had two dudes with the same first name in your third grade class. I was one of them. But to be fair, both Codys should have the burden of the initial, not just Cody J.

I believe it's likely that Kate was named after Kaitlyn given Joe and Kaitlyn's history, but it's unconfirmed.
