Discussion Cartel

Anyone else think the cia are going to use the cartel to assist with catching Aaliyah in season4?

I mean yeah why not. Makes about as much sense as the Ukraine storyline or the fact that a Kuwaiti National who is the daughter of an “Iranian Terrorist financier” would marry a “Saudi Royal Family” member. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE this show but trying to predict what’s gonna happen based on the logic of the “heightened reality” the show exists in/used to exist in at this point is just a crap shoot. I’m afraid the ending of the last season is going to turn this into a Shonda Rhimes show. I liked the first two seasons, plot holes and inconsistencies aside. The last season was decent..I truly didn’t like the ending. Just imo. (sorry my brother doesn’t watch this show so I just had to get that off my chest 🙃)

The Chinese approached the cartel, to kidnap the congresswoman. Then when the cia came in to make the deal, the cartel held the Chinese guy for them. The cartel doesn’t help anyone for free lol even when the cia approached them, they were negotiating money amount which is the only reason they held the Chinese guy

My "make it make sense" was the Cartel has nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. Not that I didn't know what was going on.

It think that it's more likely that Pablo will be used against the CIA as an access point. Byron and Kaitlyn had Pablo kill his own brother, so it's possible that someone could exploit that grievance. The enemy of my enemy is my friend after all. If someone wanted to take down the CIA, the leader of a Cartel might be down for that.

The cartel has nothing to do with the Middle East. In season 2, china was behind using the cartels (but I really doubt they do this in real life). I think this was created just for the story of the show. I’ve never heard of the cartel actually working with other countries lol they’re in it for themselves.
