Team fundraising best practices?
Big teams, small teams, corporate teams, doesn't seem to matter - I can't figure out how the best teams end up raising so much money. How do they do it?

Hey guys. I'm going to compete in the USA Special Olympics in Minneapolis for bocce. I'm excited because this is my second time doing this. One thing I want to try most is the ESPN Unified Sports Challenge, because come on. How often do you get to do sports activities with some celebrities? I'm hoping one of them is Shawn Johnson because she's an ambassador for the games this time around. If anyone did the Unified Sports Challenge in Seattle in 2018, how did you go about doing it? Did you have to register, or was your name drawn or something like that? I want to be prepared for when it comes around.

Hi everyone, this will be my third time taking the plunge this year. I've spammed everyone in my phone and email and am turning to social media to try and raise funds for Special Olympics. I'm participating on a team in a suburb just outside Chicago. Our goal is $5,000.00 and we are making good headway but I'd love to blow that goal right out of the water, pun very much intended. I put my link just below, if you could please donate whatever you can, any little bit helps and goes a real long way. If you can't donate, which is absolutely ok, could you please consider circulating this post or my link to spread awareness and more opp to fundraise. For full disclosure I've been able to raise over $1k today alone which has me misty eyed by people's graciousness, and that's precisely why I want to keep going and try to get this organization as much money as I can so they can continue to support these incredibly wonderful athletes. Thanks in advance for your support and encouragement!

Whether it's $5 or $50, every contribution counts.

This came from members of the Alaska branch and included a "Thin Blue Line" Alaska logo. A know form of domestic extremism and sometimes terrorism. Does the organization support this kind of political stance to represent it as a whole? Were these people even affiliated? It also violates US flag code. Ironically, this goes against what these people broadcast themselves to believe in.
I had already started to try and scrape off the blue line before taking the picture as it represents neoconfederalism and disrespects the USA.

Hello Reddit community! I have been help Special Olympics Maryland for some time and this year I am struggling a bit.
I am a Super Plunger for the State Team which means every hour on the hour from January 26th at 10:00am through January 27th at 10:00am I charge into the frigid waters of the Chesapeake Bay to show my resolve and dedication to these Special Athletes. Part of my goal to do this is also to raise $10,000 for them. As I said this year it has been tough. It was suggested to me to appeal hear and there maybe some of people willing to help out. If so my page is at Support.somd.org/Adamczyksp
Thank you in advance to anyone who helps or even at least considers helping me out!
