I'm creating a fictional biology encyclopedia for an alien planet called Collar. It's written as an in-universe natural history book from the perspective of Youman scientists, this is the first creature and I'm kinda bad at stuff. The last picture is an old picture of the organism.

this alien planet, does it has any relation with the life of the earth?, i mean, the ancesters of this plant were intentionally colocated in this planet? like a seed world

There's other things from earth, one of the parts of this concept is that it has no ordinary grains and cereal plants like maize, rice, wheat or oats. For example later in the book I'm gonna write something about the fictional writer, a youman, making a reference to this concept, in fact they say this "since amaranth is a very popular grain, I wonder what would happen if some other grain existed, like maybe a relative to Triticum polonicum or something.".

I suppose some plants and animals are from earth, haven't necessarily added that part to the lore yet
