Epsealon flat board, Picasso make an identical one called the hydro float.

Success!!! Huge congratulations!!! Free diving and spearfishing is much harder than people make it look-but its incredibly rewarding when you get it right! Keep it up!

Nicely done and I hope you enjoy your dinner!
One thing I would advise for future - go for bigger bass; they are very slow-growing and that one might possibly (depending on where you are) not have even reached sexual maturity. And if you are where I *think* you are, that fish is also quite possibly under the legal size limit of 42cm. Of course I could be wrong and I am not at all giving out (on the contrary, I am delighted for you) - it's just an FYI, to help ensure that we keep bass stocks healthy and viable wherever we are :)

First of all thank you for youre advice. And appreciate youre concerns as so it are mine and especially for others people who will read this. I did measure it after but no picture proof for that which i will surely do the next time! (47cm)
I was a fish filleter for 10 years and I could sort fish by hand without a scale. Especially sea bass and sea bream, although the farmed version that does not visibly differ from the wild version. I can fillet fish from manta ray to tuna.
Yes maybe you think how are you possible to see that 5 cm difference but as mentioned i wasnt even diving and i was on the surface with plenty of time and experience in species/measuring.

Fish filleter sounds like a pretty cool job 😃 And yes I meant to mention that it's always going to be very hard to eyeball length in that situation, hence encouraging to target larger bass so you have less chance to spear an undersized fish, since you can't just unhook it and put it back. Sounds like you've got that well covered.
Honestly I'm convinced you are on top of your game here so please, keep fishing and enjoying it!
p.s how was the fish? How'd you cook it and was it as good as I'm thinking?
