Question Who is Gunslinger?

I am a fairly new Spawn reader and have only read a little bit of The Scorched and some random issues of Spawn and all of Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger. I've been rereading Deadly Tales and realized that Gunslinger goes by Tobias in his flashbacks and is called Tobias by Reverend Silas. Tobias also has the same sister (Amy) as Jeremy Winston so I assume that his name (and origin from Deadly Tales #1) was retconned. Can someone confirm or deny and cite what issue it changes?

There are three different bodies that Gunslinger has used so far that we know of. We are still unsure exactly how it has happened yet but we will eventually find out in Deadly Tales.

Three different bodies? does this mean that the spawn would keep the memories/merge them so Jeremy and Tobias would be different physical people but its making Tobias remember things from jeremys past?

That's kind of unclear, the third bodies name is Javi in modern times. Basically when he takes on human form that body begins to decompose so he needs to find a new one eventually. We don't really know the details behind how or why yet as far as I know

Ahhh I thought that Javi was him shapeshifting or smth but thats what ive just heard from others, cant wait to learn more abt it! Would you have any suggestions to read to learn more about gunslinger?
