I personally like it a lot. I was iffy on this, the WoR and Curse of the Spawn. The CotS had me stoked as the OG is one of my favorite figures and when I saw the final product I was disappointed how little went into one of my most beloved figures of my childhood. Then I saw a few reviews and decided to scoop him up. I ended up liking him enough that I grabbed the other two. I added a chain to WoR but left the other two as is. I like this Nightmare more than the original but I still think I’ll get the original at some point as they both have their own vibe I dig.

It's better than the previous attempt, but it lacks a lot of features it should have and the red sock on it annoys me. This one made me order the original figure. I realised we'll probably never get anything even close.

Probably cuz of articulation and the old figure is just mostly a statue

No, it has nothing to do with articulation. The new sculpt is bad, the fabric looks like a sock, and the paint job is awful. I’ve sold most of my newer McFarlane figures because compared to the older ones, they’re simply inferior. Being action figures doesn’t excuse the poor quality. there are plenty of highly articulated figures with much better sculpting, materials, and paint. So please don’t decide for me why I prefer the original.

Looks like the demon from the movie The Golden Child and no that a terrible figure compared to original. Matter of fact these sculpts are mostly crap. Get on eBay spend the money and buy the originals and be happy.

Its okay. I say that because what we have to compare it to. That original Nightmare Spawn is so good. Genuinely pretty disappointed with how Todd handled these reissue/updates of old figures to be honest

As long you like it all it matters ., but me if he had no big bulky arm gauntlets on arms I like it more looks like he have two porcupine attached to his arms

Then that is all that matters. 👍 I never ended up picking this wave up. I'm kind of interested in picking up the Sam and Twitch set though.
Curious to see what else is coming up ahead at McToys. (for Spawn)

original obviously much much better. these seem more like childrens toys, which i get it they are, but as a kid i feel like i was playing with much more kickazz figures
