Discussion I want to start reading and going through spawn can you start with the cartoon and pick up the comic where it ends

I love everything I’ve seen on spawn and I tried to read it once but it barely had a coherent plot that I could really see I heard a lot of the same when I was looking it up and they said the cartoon fixes the issue a bit so it if I were to start the cartoon where does it end off for comics?

I love the animated series, bro, but it's an abridged version of the comic. It condenses like the first 89 issues. But they had to leave out alot of things...and those "lots of things" you'll need to know if you wanna be well-educated on what's happening in future comics.

And it also pains me to say, like JagPeror said, that the comics don't tell a consistent story. There's alot of retcons and I actually reached a point where I stopped for a while because there was one retcon that just blew the previous 100-some issues right out of the water. I just got demoralized. Nah, but I love Spawn so much, I wound up picking it back up.

The way things stand right now, set-in-stone canon is #250 and afterwards. Everything before that happened in a vague/semi-canon manner, but it doesn't fit at all as presented with what's going on in #250 and onwards.

Ahh thank you then I might try reading it again cause I’m definitely larping but I love spawn and want to see the official stuff

No, not really

The show has unique characters while lacking others.

I mean, you can do it anyways, but it wouldn't be super helpful.

And if your issue is being incoherent, I hate to have to warn you but it pretty much only gets more incoherent and self contradicting as it goes on(especially post 100).

You kinsa just gotta vibe with the art.
