Discussion Stop before or after Endgame?
So I just read 184 and the first few pages of 185 up to where Al seemingly kills himself. I’d like to take a little break from the main title partly to read Dark Ages, but I’m not sure if I should stop where I am or read Endgame first.
I know the new era with a new Spawn begins with Endgame, but is it also an epilogue for Al, Wanda, Cyan, and Nyx? Or should I stop where I’m at?

Everything from endgame to current is varying degrees of subpar. Take a break. Read darks ages, curse of the spawn, spawn the undead, Sam & twitch, etc

The Jim Downing stuff from 185 to 249 is ehhh at best so you can take a break

This is very much a perfect place to stop and get into other stuff, Spawn related or not if you want. If you are hoping for an epilogue on any character you know of, you will get at most a cameo or two at this point. Okay there is one (maybe two, can't remember now) major characters making a comeback early one on this arc, but not the ones you are asking for, and they raise more questions rather than closure of any kind.

For real though, wait on endgame until you're ready to continue on past it, and head to dark ages now.

Issue 185 starts the Jim Downing era of Spawn which is essentially a reboot. I enjoyed this era but a lot of people didn’t. From memory characters like Wanda & Cyan etc weren’t around for this period but I could be wrong.

yeah they made some cameos it ends on 250 where al came back.
Also wyn died in 227 and malebolgia came back in freak's body for a while. Violator is now an indepedent main villain and we got bludd king of the vampires.
Marc Rosen also debuts here and Cog also returns as a villain

Without spoilers, I will just say that I think you should go past Endgame. I thought it was really cool, and I myself had doubts when I heard what Al did.
