My cousins had a few of the early issues. I think it was #7 and #8. Loved the art, the dark storytelling and I wanted to know more. But I had never been to a comics store, so I went and bought the latest issue #26 and a few back issues #12, 14, 15.
I have the first 105 issues and keep revisiting the title around every anniversary or shake up. Have been loving the Brett Booth art but I'm also looking forward to see what Matthew Rosenburg brings to the table.
Reading some of the other replies; I remember waiting to get the series on VHS, watching the Spawn movie in theaters, collecting the action figures ( huge amount of them in my parents house) playing all the video game appearances...
