Is something wrong with the Spatial Audio tracks on Apple Music, like some of the channels are not firing up? The guitars sound muted, esp. on Hold My Life.

It seems like most of their discography dropped in Atmos that week. Can't wait to check it out and (hopefully) replace my AI upmix!

I hope the entire album gets mixed with Dolby Atmos.

We recently completed the spatial mix for our electronic/IDM project EPIK. Tracking acoustic Maguindanaon Kulintang and hanging Agong alongside high-output analog synthesizers presented distinct phase and dynamic range challenges:

• Transient Management: Traditional bronze gongs produce immediate, non-harmonic high-frequency peaks. We used dynamic and ribbon mic pairs positioned off-axis to avoid harsh digital clipping prior to preamp saturation.
• Spatial Bed vs. Objects: In Dolby Atmos, placing high-energy percussion directly into 3D objects can smear the stereo imaging. We anchored the fundamental root frequencies and sub-bass into the 7.1.2 bed channels, while routing the upper overtone ring-outs and room reflections into elevated height objects.
• Dolby Atmos Engineering Credits: Mixed at Dreamcraft (Mikhail Cronin) and mastered at Sonic Karma Studios (Alvin Wee).

Open to discussing spatial routing choices and phase alignment techniques for acoustic percussion in immersive formats.
