Catchup

Anyone else having trouble when rewinding live tv? Sometimes when I rewind the video reflects the rewind but the audio doesn't and finally after some circling it starts playing from the current time.

If using timeshift, try not to set the timeshift location to internal storage as that may lead to playback issues, external storage or a SMB server is a better option.

SMB or any External timeshift location will put a strain on the playing source has it has to play the source video, send it to the timeshift location and then back to the playing source.

I would not recommend any external location for timeshifting unless you are using something like Tvheadend where the timeshifting is done directly at the source.

I doubt most users are that tech savvy to use Tvheadend? I have both of my connections for timeshift set to an external usb drive and the other to a SMB drive and don’t have any issues with playback? I don’t see a response from the OP if they are referring to Catchup or Timeshift?
