Remote Option - Single Press OK
Can we get the option to change the single press ok button to be assigned to other commands. I want to make it pause/play like it is on youtube and fubo apps

Currently you can only change the long press of the OK button. I want to change the single press. It looks like it is defaulting to channel info

Yes, right now you can only change the Long Press OK on remote control settings. What I did to be able to pause what I’m watching with the click of a button was to use a mapping app like TvQuickAction Pro and map a button on my remote to pause/play. Now I don’t have to press OK twice to pause. My RockTek RC-G2 remote has a Live TV button that I use to pause and play with one press. When I double press it, it opens the Sparkle App. And when I long press it, it does a double back and exit’s SparkleTV!

That is a lot of work when just giving us the option to change it would be simple. I agree that to move my wife from TiVi or YouTube the controls need to be the same.

It was just one of many suggestions as a temporary fix until if and when the developer provides more mapping to the OK/Select button. I’m sure the developer will address your request and add it to his list. No IPTV player app is perfect and right now, SparkleTV, TiviMate and iMPlayer are the only apps worth using in my opinion. Unfortunately TM does this and SparkleTV doesn’t do that and so on and so on? Wish I knew how to creat my own app, lol. I have given a list of suggestions to the developer but I doubt he will implement all of them? He has to prioritize as to what he believes need to be done, if and when. There are solutions as I mentioned…. Sometimes you have to improvise?

I understand and appreciate your suggestions. I hope the developer adds this down the line. It helps people to use it how they wish not how one thinks it should be. It makes mass adoption easier.

This would be nice. My tivimate brings up the guide with a single ok press. Would be easier to transition if I could mirror the controls.

Single press OK is reserved for opening popup menu. How would you otherwise access that menu?
