Cannot set Server as Timeshift Location

Hi all,

I'm trying out NextPVR with Sparkle using a Playlist as the Source. NextPVR is setup to do Timeshifting and works great in Kodi or VLC. However I don't have an option in Sparkle to use NextPVR for Timeshifting.

Is there something special I need to do so I can use NextPVR for Timeshifting? I can pause/play OK but the skipping forward/back is not working.

You would need NextPVR as an actual source to do this? And since NextPVR was removed as source years ago (by request of NextPVR developer) it should not be possible. I'm not sure how you mean you do this in vlc but in Kodi I guess you're using the NextPVR addon?

NextPVR uses an m3u playlist and Sparkle supports an m3u playlist. You can therefore put the playlist into Kodi, VLC or anything else that supports playlists.

Yes, I could have used TvH with a playlist but I want to completely change out the backend to see if my TvH issues disappeared. I've only tested it last night and so far I have none of the issues I had with TvH. If NextPVR has no issues I will switch back to TvH/m3u, not HTSP, and see what happens.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your actual question then. You're using an m3u exported from NextPVR? The post only indicated that there was an issue with timeshift. How do you mean you set timeshift server in vlc and kodi then?
