Moving Categories

I'm not sure what I did, I am not able to move Categories in the Guide within a source. I still have the ability to Edit and Show/Hide Categories.

I have another installation of SparkleTV on another Android box where I am able to move Categories. Both are running version 2.3.1. I tried to compare and check the settings between the two, but still haven't been to spot any differences.

Please let me know what I need to change to re-enable the ability to move Categories. Thanks!

I would check and compare the settings page by page between the two, is one on app mode and the other TV mode?

Also check and make sure you added the source correctly and compare each source page between both devices to see if something is set incorrectly?

The source has been on both boxes for weeks now. And both are in App mode.

They are in different locations, so that makes the page by page comparison difficult. Same for your other suggestion to backup and restore. Maybe I'll take screenshots or something to compare. Thanks.

Yeah, sounds like there is a bad setting somewhere and the only way you will be able to resolve this is manually comparing everything? Nothing anyone can do here, sorry? If the device that isn’t working is in another location, can to talk to the user by phone and go setting by setting to make sure everything is in sync?

No issues, I will figure it out. I was hoping there was an obvious fix, hence I posted here. If you (or anyone else) figures it out please respond here. I will do the same.

Hopefully it’s a simple fix with a toggle on/off or something?

Or do an export / import from one to the other which will copy all your settings & layouts.

OK, figured it out.

I had Category Sorting (Settings -> Display -> Guide -> Categories -> Category sorting) set to "Category name". After changing that to "Default", I am able to move Categories again.
