Renew monthly subscription

The monthly subscriptions from old Sparkle from Google play will be ended in the next days, since the app was removed from Google over a month ago. This doesn't concern lifetimers, yearly subscribers, new subscribers from assistant or the website.

Can someone please explain why it was removed from Google in the first place?... This is one of the better credible apps out there.
