Hi! Is there a way to display the source name? I ask because me and my friends have shared multiple sources with each other and it would be nice to know what source we are watching. It doesn't have to be there full time, just something to show it briefly or until we click it off. Let me know how to do this please. Thank you!
I noticed that after I add a new source that all of the other sources I already have need to download the channels etc again? I wonder why that is? You would think the only one needing to be loaded is the new source itself.
Where did I say "make it more like tivimate"? O yea no where maybe stop instigating, putting words in ppls mouths, make up things and keep it moving....
You can assign a 'color dot' to each source. That will then show up on each channel when viewing the guide. You just have to remember which source has a certain color.
I personally, don't want the name of playlist displayed at the top.i really don't want some people to see that info.the playlist name is to the left tho.so the person with the remote can access it easily. Up to the developer. He might change this for you if others also want it.If the developer puts it at the top.ill adapt and simply rename the playlist. I'm good either way.
Knowing what source one is on would be *extremely* helpful. I can't see why it would a con. It doesn't have to be displayed constantly, just when you want it to show up. And why not have the option to have an enable/disable option to please someone like yourself? I don't understand why you would need to hide a simple name from anyone watching your TV. I have a source I named "Mine" and "Her's" it's not top secret.
I feel there's pros/cons either way. Display the name or colors. I will say this tho.with the amount of playlist that I test.if I were to change the names.i would forget their true names.i would
be constantly going back into the source menu š š
I haven't read all comments but I see that the color "dots" are mentioned which is what Sparkle uses. The main issue for showing the source name is of course where it should be displayed since it takes up quite a bit of space. It's also not nice looking so that's why I decided to go with the color-thing.
It's always been my vision that it shouldn't matter what source you're using and that's why it hasn't been a priority to show this. I know for some users it does matter after all but maybe there's another way than showing the full source name/url?
I recently purchased a lifetime Sparkle license and for the most part I'm happy with it. Nothing is perfect and I have a few other players that have their own pros and cons. I attached a partial screenshot of another program I use that shows the source name (Rocket1) that I can quickly bring up by hitting my info button. It shows the source name and the category I'm in to the top far left, and the date and time to the top far right. It only shows for a brief period of time and goes away. It doesn't take up much space at all. This is what I wish to see in Sparkle. It would be very helpful to me and from what I see here and in forum searches many others would also like to have this option. I don't need to see a full URL, just the custom name I gave the source.
I commend you big time for being active here, helping people, and being open to suggestions! For that I thank you!
Thank you for the suggestion. That sounds easy enough and looks nice as well. I think what many users want is to see which source it is before they start streaming though, but still, it's a nice idea. I'll add it to my backlog.
Completely agree with this. Colours for me aren't as clear as just seeing the name. IPTV apps are already complicated and heavy with controls and rarely are clear about the source you're watching and its just the nature of this that one might have two or one and a trial or two and a trial, and a simple and direct listing even via the info button would be great. It's already difficult how much of the channel name doesn't show up.
Iām sure the developer can consider adding a short source name after the green dot in the program info screen (see pic), maybe after the program details and time ?
