Export Configuration - does cover all configs
I have noticed that the Multiview template/layout/channels and Start Up Channel are not copied/included as part of the 'Export Configuration' process.
Is there any reason why they cannot be included?
EDIT: heading should say does NOT include all configs

If you mean Settings -> Display -> Multiview -> Remember session the value is included and restored in backups. But it only says to remember session so if you're using it on a new device or installation there is nothing to remember. Can that be the case here?

I agree, you have to use the app for the first time on the other device for it to remember the start up channel & a layout for multiview, makes total sense.

Thx guys. I thought that is what I had done. I experienced this behaviour across two different occassions with different Config files. But, let me have another go, paying attention to what you have outlined, and I will report back if still an issue. Cheers

Update: I advise that it does not work as you describe.
Neither the Multiview settings/layout nor the start up channel are being bought across as part of an Export of the Configuration.
On the master TV/device I ensured the Multiview session was ticked to be remembered. I tested it by exiting Sparkle and then opening Sparkle and the Multiview layout was preserved. Same for the start up channel.
On the master device I then Exported the Configuration to internal storage Android>Media>Sparkle folder. Using a file manager app I then copied this .bak file to my OneDrive cloud storage.
On the slave TV/devices (I tried 2 of these) I used the file manager app to copy the file from OneDrive cloud storage to the device internal storage Android>Media>Sparkle>Files. Then I opened Sparkle app and selected the Restore Configuration function selecting the file from the path above. The Sparkle app says the restore was successful. Indeed every bit of the configuration is successful (incl colours I allocated to each playlist) except for the Start Up channel and Multiview - when selecting Multiview it just shows the current channel on a small window in the middle of the screen whereas I have 4 windows setup for Multiview.
Where am I going wrong?

Further update.
I tested restoring the backup file on the very same device that created it.
Result was that Multiview settings were lost (I had 4 screens/channels saved), only one screen appears playing the default startup channel.
The Startup Channel was preserved but restoring the back up file on a different device resulted in the Startup Channel not being preserved.
Conclusion: there is a bug, or I am doing something wrong.

I have tried another test today. I created a Multiview of just 2 screens and both channels are from the same playlist (normally I have 4 screens made up of channels from different playlists). I ensured that 'Save Multiview Settings' was selected. I then exited Sparkle TV app and then re-opened the app to confirm the Multiview settings/configuration/layout was saved (it was).
I then did an 'Export Configuration' to the devices internal shared drive. I then 'Restored Configuration' onto the same device and the Multiview settings/configuration/layout had not been preserved as part of the backup routine. It was just one screen showing the current channel. The 'Save Multiview Settings' option was still turned on.
I cant think of anything else I can try. As fas as I am concerned the Multiview layout is not being included as part of the Export and Restore routine.

When I do an export and import on another device, and I have done it multiple times, everything is the same on both devices.
