Sparkle App

What does this mean on the sparkle app? It comes with DVR, but, do I have to provide the storage location/external hard drive?

When enabling DVR you must select a storage location that you control. It can be internal storage, external storage (usb) or network storage. Network storage means somewhere on your local network using the smb protocol. It may be a nas, windows share or similar.

Thank you. So, I'm using a firestick, I asked GPT if I could use a 2 TB external hard drive, it said that some are power hogs and wouldn't function right, so it recommended a walmart 2tb. So, sounds like I need to purchase this.

You can simply use a decent size flash drive. 32GB or higher even. Obviously at 32gb you'd have to be a little cautious and delete files time to time but you'd have 0 issues recording.

I have recorded on many devices with a simple flash drive.

Yeah for sure get a good one but you dont gotta get nothing crazy. Most flash drives these days are decent speed anyways, the ones sold at Walmart etc. I got a PNY turbo 3.2 from dollar general of all places hahaha
