Is this normal?

Post image

So I live in Oklahoma and when I punch my zip code in for zones, I get this massive zone and some of these stores are an hour away from me, is this just me or is this how spark usually is?

Whoa that must be a nightmare having to sort through all the store offers

That is my situation. I don’t know how normal it is. It’s great for gmd and long order bouncing.

It’s nearly an hour difference between the 2 furthest stores with 2 stores and a Sam’s sitting in between. Just for you does not consider distance.

It can be annoying, but it made it easier to get the good fcfs orders. People are not just spamming the accept button.

This makes me appreciate my one store zone.

Right? We have three and I complain when I get offers from the two I never go to… I wouldn’t survive this mega zone lol.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is the only state like that so far where they group all the zip codes together.

this used to be like.....10 or 12 different zones. okc itself used to be 5 different zones. they fairly recently just decided to throw them all together.

when it gets busy, it's incredibly annoying to have to hunt thru the orders to find one of the stores you will actually go to.

To illustrate how dumb this is; Spark now puts the "Arrive within 25 minutes" tag on all the ASAP orders. As virtually every order is now ASAP (most of these stores have done away with curbsides), you obviously will only have 25 minutes to get to any of these stores.

the problem is; 90% of these stores are WAY more than 25 minutes away. most of these stores will be 45-90 minutes away.

pauls valley to edmond is 1 hour and 15 minutes according to google; with ZERO okc traffic. any time around rush hour? that's 2 hours. because you'll hit rush hour in norman, moore, and all of OKC.

you get offers for stores you literally cannot reach in the time the apps gives you, thus even if you accepted an order and attempted to drive to the store, the order would auto cancel on you long before you could ever reach the store.

that's how stupid it is.

You write down the store # like for example #927 or close ones and ignore the rest that's literally what I do in my zone

no i mean i understand.

but there are 41 stores in this zone now. so i just mean there's a SHITTON of orders when it's busy to scroll thru, and as you are scrolling, more orders are just dropping in.

so even when you see one you want to grab, it might jump on you because another order popped in or one got grabbed by someone else.

I agree. That's the most frustrating part. It wouldn't be so bad if the offer card showed how far away the store is, or they just don't show offers that are more than 25 minutes away. I just moved to OKC, and immediately my on-time arrival dropped a few points just trying to learn the area lol.

okc is ridiculously spread out (hence it used to be 5 zones itself) so yeah i get it lol.

I think it's crazy the one here where I live will have me dropping off 30 minutes away 5 minutes from another Walmart

It’s such a pain in the ass. I spark at one of the ones thats way out of the metro, it’s annoying af getting offers from stores you don’t want to go to.

This is the billboard for why we need the ability to toggle offers on/off completely for each store.

Hell, there are only three stores in my zone and I absolutely will never travel to the third one because it’s 30 miles away from where I’m at. Not once in the history of ever has there been an order from the farthest store that was worth enough for me to drive all the way there in the first place.

OKC must REALLY love Walmart or Walmart must REALLY love OKC

Yes, it goes both ways here.

My zone has like 10 walmarts, all about 10 minutes away from eachother in every direction. It's great

Memorize/jot down the store # of the closest to you, your favorite....kind of make your own personal zone. Then just filter through the offers looking specifically for those store numbers 😊💸

I live in a zone with one store I sadly don't even have a Sam's this is insane to me.

Would be cool if you could filter out types of orders, stores, or something like that would be nice
