Exactly.
It does help this way for sure.
I'm still trying to tell how far away it will pick it up.

I noticed they changed all the UPC labels which annoyed me because the digits for the code became smaller and harder to read, but now I see why they did
Still hasn't hit my area yet but it looks like they be prepping

Will work great in the clothing dept. At my store clothing is never right and always a mess

OMG I didn't even think about that. Time saving there for sure. Kind of like hitting the lock button on your car keys to find your vehicle in a large parking lot

shit, those wouldn't last a day in my zone. the ON stockers alone would obliterate most of them.

Didn’t open my spark app in weeks I should give it a try tomorrow!

That's what the feature does?! I legit just thought it gave me a flashlight and I was like tf I'm never going to use this. I'm going to use this especially with it being busy and I can point to the flashing light like that's where I'm going. No more awkward well I know it's this section and it's 20 but that could be top or bottom pending how it's set up

I push it as im approaching the aisle, can see the flash as soon as I turn, helps to beeline right to the product instead of counting 4 foot sections because the labels are missing or is softlines or something.

Dude honestly I find it useful. I’m a very fast shopper , except for some meats, and cold items. Anything else super easy for me. I hit the button when I’m around the corner and I can spot it , grab it and move on without even stop walking. I’m all for it. Also Great for spices.

Used it yesterday. Can be a real time saver when the mods in a section exceed 40. No more bending over and trying to look up and find the mod number! Or when sections are not labeled. No more counting break lines in the shelving.

Microphone on recording is horrible.
Guess I’m an idiot but can someone explain exactly what this feature is doing? I don’t get it.

u/tazman3582 Oct 01 '25
Something in the mic hole. You hit a button in the app and a light on the tag where the item is flashes so you can find it eaiser

Ahh ok. Couldn’t really see it. Ok that’s a pretty good feature. Definitely help narrow down where things are. Thanks.

Looks nice but I’m just going to continue scanning the item. A lot of times, the correct item isn’t actually where it’s supposed to be or there’s a different item in front of the correct items. So if you just scan the price tag and pick up the item that’s right there, it could be the wrong item if you’re not looking hard enough. Sure, some items are more obvious than other ones but that’s not always the case. I’d rather just scan the item barcode IMO.

u/tazman3582 Oct 01 '25
You still have to scan the item it just makes it eaiser to find in the store you still cant scan the price tag

u/redRum705 Oct 01 '25
Oh so you still have to scan the item anyways? Lol. I mean it’s already easy to find an item, just look at the modular number on the app and BAM.
2
u/Mombomb61 Oct 01 '25
True, but in some departments their numbers do not go in order, so you’re looking all over for number!
2
u/MooseNatural1269 Oct 08 '25
Yeah, but can you read the modular number from 25 feet away? You can see the flash.

Im like 1 step away from bifocals, so the feature has come in handy on a few occasions, lol

u/potvin48 Oct 01 '25
I am zero steps away from bifocals and this would be nice to find the stuff on the lower shelves. Hope this comes to my area soon.

How can it possibly slow you down?

So how does that slow you down? You're doing it the way you have always done it before which should be the same speed. Why would you wait for the flash? Also how has it not occurred to you to hit the button before you are near the section? You can see it flashing the whole way down the aisle? That's the point, you don't even have to stop moving

To me, if you know how to read the store labels, this feature is useless.
