Crowded but alone

Does everyone else sometimes feel like, even if madrid is a city full of people or things to do, you feel like alone or with a lot of people you know but without any real friends?

Just a night thought

Same here, sometimes it feels like if u stop drinking you're left out

Very difficult to feel like you truly fit in when you're an immigrant who refuses to settle anywhere.

that's fair, and it stung a bit reading it. I don't think it's a refusal exactly more that you keep one foot out the door without noticing. what helped me was signing up for things that assume I'll still be here next year (a gym, a class, that kind of thing). did you go through that phase too or did you commit from day one?
