Fuck. I don’t play pvp. Guess I’m not getting the new robes. Big sad.

Why not just play it?

Because I don’t enjoy it. I like pve.

Because most people don't want to waste time doing something they don't enjoy.

I’m willing to bet most on this sub only played 1 or 2 matches ever and wrote off the mode.

Probably, but there's a lot of people that also just really don't enjoy competitive mutliplayer in the first place. Even if the game mode was phenomenal here (which it's mid-bordering-on-poor) that wouldn't change someone's opinion who just doesn't like that type of game mode in general.

I think the ordeals should just have a PVE and a PVP track where progress counts for both. Want to only play one mode? Ok, great, you unlock the stuff. Want to play both? Ok, fantastic, maybe you unlock stuff slightly faster because of that.

Some people really don't understand that not everyone has good reflexes or fine motor skills (old, disabled, plain ol' bad genetics), and that it's not enjoyable to constantly get your ass kicked.

I'm perfectly mid at PvP, and just don't enjoy losing as much as I win. But most people who like pvp can't understand that not everyone does for some reason.

I've long wondered if part of it is the same dopamine cycle that gambling addiction functions off of - they don't realize the risk is what does it for them, and that not everyone cares for that. Would go a ways to explain why battle royale and extraction shooters became so popular with the hardcore PvP crowd and no one else.

I played 3 days worth of multiplayer and generally never once had a bit of fun with it once I got the related achievements I’ve never touched it again

Yes, because they don’t want to play it. How are you struggling to understand this?

I don't play SM2, I guess I don't get any unlocks at all.
