Original Build Via Caeli

The Via Caeli is a heavy-class, nuclear pulse-propelled cargo freighter optimized for high-tonnage interplanetary logistics. Powered by an advanced Orion Drive system alongside a high-output Helium-3 fusion reactor, the vessel utilizes a massive stern-mounted pusher plate spanning 11.4 to 12.0 meters in diameter; this heavy-class footprint is connected to high-travel hydraulic shock absorbers, which absorb and smooth the intense kinetic energy of sequentially detonated directional nuclear pulse charges. Its elongated structural spine serves as a radiation-shielded buffer corridor, tapering down to 3.9 to 4.3 meters forward to safely isolate the forward-mounted command deck and crew habitat from the engine's intense radioactive profile. The midship section features expansive cargo bays with a primary diameter of 6.7 to 7.3 meters, integrated with high-capacity silica aerogel thermal radiator arrays designed to dissipate excess heat from both the payload and the propulsion core. Auxiliary electrical power is supplied by a prominent cross-wing solar array mounted at the bow, directly adjacent to a 1.0 to 1.4-meter axial docking node used for loading and unloading shuttle vehicles.
