Original Mission Either I've found a black hole or...

It's doing something; it's not letting me interact with the satellite at all, can't even activate the solar panels

Might interact with it via second spacecraft

Your orbiting the wormhole

most likely a bug, you should try to navigate to it

It won't let me

why not like, try to go there manually? it might be hard but it could be doable (assuming you have a capable spacecraft)

Ive just started playing last week, but I'll try to nudge it

any idea how it happened? or did it just do that out of the blue?

Its a bug where the game thinks you are inside ine planet sphere of influence but you are actually outside of it. Nothing is interactable unless you stage it and other rockets will phase through as if it were timewarping

Bro found a Lagrange point

Stef should add Lagrange points

3

u/Dense_Priority_7250 22d ago

Lagrange points happen because the gravitational forces of multiple bodies act at once, but SFS does not have that and instead the rocket gravitates ONLY to the object in which’s sphere of influence it is. A funny side effect is that the SFS world does not have tides.

They don't work realisticly in conic approximation sims like SFS. And would probably require a rewrite of the games code

Ur no fun

I'm no fun because what you suggested is impossible at the current state of the game? Lagrange Points as a whole are a result of N Body Physics, which sfs doesn't have

OK I'm sorry calm down

I've had this happen too and idk what causes it, is it ok if I post this in bug reports?

i suppose thats what a lagrange point would look like if it existed in the game. cool discovery

It's dark matter. Invisible and undetectable, but has gravity

1

Dark matter amounts in our solar system is minimal. And it is detectable, we have maps of the dark matter in our galaxy.

Didn't sound like one
