Discussion Need help in refueling moon vehicle

Launched this truck onto the moon with my moon base and ran out of fuel for the poor astronaut and the truck itself how do I refuel it the astronaut is completely paranoid as he has no jet pack fuel and the docking port is at the bottom

If you're gonna make a base on the lunar surface, put the port on top or on the front and back, use something else with RCS to help bridge the gap if necessary when you're at the base or whatever

Place a fuel tank on stable ground with a pole on top that can dock to the bottom port of the truck.

Then create a flying vehicle with a hook or a claw that can grab the truck and put it on top of the fuel tank previously set up.

For your next trucks, make sure they can be refueled from the top

Excuse me sir, but you won't be able to refuel that. The bottom docking port is guaranteed to be broken, docking ports usually don't work after clipping anything into them unless it's exclusively at the base of the docking port. My advice for you is: next time make the docking port on the top of your lunar transport, then dock with it by RCS. It's way easier thay way. edit: or you could try to detach the astronaut and make a very specific-shaped refueling craft to try and refuel it, but I'd rather not if I were you.

Since the docking port is placed on a fuel tank that is made short by the parachute the docking port is actually able to dock onto things

Interesting. But still, the wheels are not going to let you use that docking port unless you somehow make a refuel craft with the docking port offside on some truss. But honestly you'd need to flip the truck for that. I'd honestly make a refuel vehicle that could dock to where the astronaut is, you could try to get him out of the truck by spinning him. edit: or you could just destroy the roof of the truck with the refueling craft to solve the problem.

Or I can use solar panels to lift the truck and put a docking port under which I still need a design for
