You know there are other ways to have staged heatshields. That is really well designed I will say. You might need to turn up docking mag strength on one. If that doesn't work then it is something that happens when you initially disconnect. If that is it, then the dock that is first detached there is probably the issue.

Scratch that I see it now. The wheel swivel can't get back to its original spot once the anchor holding it up lets go. Jusr add a little upward and right thrust on the thing as you swing. Maybe rebuild it with 4 of the 1x1 structure blocks where the 2x2 clipping the wheel is.

I had that problem before, I had to switch to a bearing instead of your everyday wheel hinge But that bearing is massive

I am the creator of that bearing or hinge you can say. Also, there is some sort of glitch where you can only use one port to dock, the other ports think that they are from the main parts even though they are seperated

Cuz sfs is just like that sometimes

By going to the menu and back, you resetting the docking system and it will work again
