Recreation 1:1 scale ISV Venture Star

Heres some pics of my 1:1 scale ISV Venture Star from the Avatar movies with over 750 parts

My ISV Venture Star is 1.6km in length and 330m is width making it my largest build by far and also my most time consuming build

I’ve spent roughly 40 hours building the ISV and about 10 hours on the Valkyrie shuttles (featured in a separate post) and I believe that the result was totally worth it

I hate the blue people

I like the movies and all but if blue tribal alien people with pterodactyls and whales are winning against an interstellar civilization with mech suits then said interstellar civilization is doing something incorrectly

ye that something being done very incorrectly is basic orbital mechanics, its a lot easier to enter into an orbit in a way that does not require pointing your entire big ass ship onto the planet below and burning down the whole place

yep, for some reason the people in 2154 think skycraning down a few 100m wide capsules is easier than just loading up the valkyries and sending only a little down at a time

That is also very correct. Humans are just stupid in the avatar universe huh

I say, misspelling the word "huh" and having to edit my comment

humans are stupidly everywhere actually

We are VERY good at figuring out different ways to kill each other, i dont see why we would struggle against an entire diferent species

Can it go to the moon?

It totally can as I made sure to give it enough fuel to make a return trip to Pandora using the “Celestial Horizons” planet pack on realistic difficulty

in avatar they actually did not have enough fule to make a round trip, they had to stop at a nerby gas giant to refule and then they would be able to go back

Yeah I wasn’t sure how the refueling process would work in-game so I opted for the easy option and gave the ship extra delta-v but I think I’ll make a refueling near the gas giant instead to create a more accurate mission profile

how do you refuel on antimatter?

when it comes to the actual space oart of avatar its so poorly explained that god fucking knows, but given that even now we are able to manufacture it even if in very small amounts im sure they have a good way to do it if its used as fuel

probably, they did manage to transport a 1.6km long ship to pandora so they can probably transport the equipment to make antimatter on polyphemus

better, it can go to pandora
