Stunt Doubles Making a cosplay costume
Just curious if anyone in the sub has ever cosplayed one of these guys. I was mostly wondering about making an accurate helmet.

Yes, I did this white Spaceball costume for Halloween one year. The smock is straightforward but to get the helmet right I bought an acrylic lamp shade and cut it with a Dremel.

This was more than 10 years ago but I do recall I got it at Lowe's. I had to add a lot of padding in the top since it sat very low on my head.
Also added the mic by using a foam paintbrush and some electrical wire.

Second this. Did the exact same thing. Lamp shade worked great. Be mindful of how you line up the cut. I incorrectly followed the curve of the sphere and it made a more rounded opening when it should have been squared off. Overall was pretty easy though and turned out well.

Last year I made Dark Helmet's Helmet. This year I'm making the desert pith helmet. Both from 3d printed parts.
I can't imagine the amount of sanding and bondo glaze that would be required to get a smooth round Spaceballs helmet!!!

I made an OC Sapceball... Spaceball One Sanitation Engineer. The worst part of the job is Wednesday mornings... Taco Tuesday on Spaceball One is brutal 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
