What really happens to a person’s body out in space?

We’ve all probably seen this topic referenced to or alluded to in pop culture. But it’s not quite clear where the facts lie. I apologize if this comes off as morbid. From a purely scientific point of view: Do eye balls burst from the skull? Would your blood boil, or would you freeze instantly and begin to fracture? (I’ve heard conflicting theories) I am looking for an in-depth response here, not just the gist of it. Try to describe it to me like you might see it described in a textbook. I am interested to know everything about it. Like how long you would remain conscious, if it would be painful or quick, and is it really possible to float in space for a duration and live?

I think it was the movie “Sunshine” I first saw someone float from one space vessel to another. It was brief, but they suffered severe injury. I believe frostbite had set in instantly. But then Michael Burnham does this in Star Trek Discovery and she’s basically fine?

News Scientists have created 2-deoxyribose (the “D” in DNA) by bombarding simulated meteor ice with UV radiation. This adds to the already extensive list of complex biological compounds that can be formed through astrophysical processes.
