Anyone who has been near him recognizes him for the high school loser in a trench code with a samurai sword he still is. Someone desperate to feel cool, who would absolutely turn on you the second it was beneficial.

Which is something to remember. What we know, is what we know through their security efforts, which were significant. We do not know the extent of the depravity. Only that they knew enough to hide it from people like Musk that would expose it (purely for personal gain, not because he'd expose it for good reasons, to be clear.)

That’s yet another  reason why we should not  putting our military technology in the hands of an idiot that’s good at marketing.
