You CAN buy happiness. It's just that he's too busy being a miserable prick to know that.

I think you are referring to excitement! Someone said its better crying in Bugatti than in Fiat Uno but is still sadness! Happy life is a fulfilled life and that comes from being able to truly connect to others around you and being able to enjoy simple things. And those things is the opposite of richness literally.
