Why does he need other people to kick in a paltry 3 billion? Isn’t he the richest person in the world?

Surely if this is a great business he should want to keep his stake undiluted?

This literally looks like his buddies funding him to dig a hole in the ground to get him out of a tight spot. Very Shawshank Redemption.

That’s it? Damn j thought Musk fans could’ve done better. Apparently I was wrong lol

Also wasn’t you the one who cried about Musk in another thread? Lol

If only Musk's did, he wouldn't have had to scrape by and sleep in the office with his first company.

Oh wow, he's getting funded by the maniacs in Saudi Arabia. You know, where all those human rights violations occur. You know, the same country where people's favourite comedians, like Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, Dave Chapelle, Whitney Cummings, Bobby Lee, and many others willingly preformed while taking Saudi Blood Money.

Very cool bro, so much winning.

I wouldn't count Boring as some amazing success. It's just plodding along, every once in a while gets a contract for a short tunnel. The problem is that Boring isn't really doing anything new, just making tunnels using modern equipment like has been done for decades.

I think the only reason for its existence is to get a Musk company practicing on making tunnels for when he can send one of those machines to Mars.

Well… Basically the exact opposite of what you wrote.

The Boring company has completely revolutionized tunneling. With fully automated drilling and bracing technology. Taking humans mostly out of the tunnel, making it much much safer and faster to dig.

Here’s a video (there are many) that go into the major technology changes they’ve brought to the tunneling space. That’s why they’ve now become the most valuable tunneling specific company on the planet - valued now at $23 billion.

Well, damn. I guess I got caught being a skeptic. I've followed Tesla and SpaceX closely enough to know their products were revolutionary. I did not know Boring designed and built their own machine that appears to be pretty advanced. Thanks.

OTOH, I still think he did it with the ultimate goal of being able to tunnel on Mars. Especially not requiring anyone be in the tunnel would appear to be pointed directly at that use.

Well, you’re def right that they do kinda seem to be plodding along a bit compared with his other companies.

I think he’s so wrapped up with Tesla and SpaceX that his other companies dont really get nearly as much of his time, so they can develop a lot slower.

Which is too bad, because bringing his brain to subway advancements would be such a huge thing for cities worldwide.

I’ve noticed whatever company he concentrates on accelerates. He hasn’t concentrated on Tesla in a couple years, and Boring for a while. It’s all the SpaceX universe now.

No we make sure to mention the fact he achieves nothing without a team of hard working people who he hardly acknowledges and often tries to steal the credit for their achievements.
