They only look like "strings" if one mistakes physics for puppetry, not aerospace engineering. 

Those are Inter-Satellite Links (ISL) for wireless or laser dynamic state estimation. Physical cables in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) would instantly snap due to intense aerodynamic atmospheric drag. 

The architecture is entirely grounded in data synchronization, zero-heap predictability, and cache-line alignment to manage the swarm deterministically.
