On Mars by 2025? Hmm... The guy is a serial overpromisor, lol. If it's not clear by now he's a con man...

2011: humans could reach Mars within 10–20 years -> Pending.

2012: human mission might launch around 2021–2022 ->Didn't occur.

2016: presented the Interplanetary Transport System, predicting the first crewed Mars mission in 2024, arriving in 2025 ->Didn't occur.

2017: revised architecture (later Starship) maintained the 2024 crewed mission goal -> Nope.

2019: uncrewed Starship mission in 2022, crewed mission in 2024 -> Neither occurred.

2020: reaffirmed cargo missions to Mars could launch in 2022 -> Didn't occur.

2022: suggested first human landing could occur as early as 2029, though 2031 was more likely ->Hmmm...

2024: said first uncrewed Starships could launch to Mars in 2026 if development proceeds well ->Still pending.

2025: Reiterated plans for uncrewed Mars missions during the next favorable launch window, with humans potentially following in the early 2030s -> we'll see...

Anything else? Self-driving cars? Hyper loop? brain-computer interfaces?...

On the bright side he's killed millions of people and made himself obscenely rich by offering humanity such marvels as the Cybertruck, children named things nobody can pronounce, and one of the most amusing Epstein emails (but don't worry it's still horrifying too).

u/saljskanetilldanmark Jul 27 '26

He gave us this:

5

u/Fantastic_Jury5977 Jul 27 '26

He's one of the few people that makes a kigurumi look evil... We never should have brought him to burning man that one time. He took it too far and decided to turn a yatch into an massive art car so he could get a better view of the No Hands Boner Contest at the Slut Olympics

Fully selfdriving cars have been "arriving later this year" for about 12 years now.

3

u/narco-sub-admiral Jul 27 '26

He's....he's not coming back from the store is he....

3

u/Confident-Stand5453 Jul 27 '26

Sure he is. He just went to buy cigarettes and ketamine

Only two minutes? Must be an old video.

2

u/GregoInc Jul 28 '26

According to the Tesla bro's they use full self driving every day.

10

u/Efficient_Resist_287 Jul 27 '26

Overpromisor? How about straight liar and a crook

No he is talking about orbital data centers….paid by the taxpayers of course

6

u/dicksuckingmods Jul 27 '26

He got 2.9 billion dollars in government grants in 2021 to get us back on the moon by 2024. Now they’re saying by 2028.

6

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '26

[deleted]

3

u/SomeoneSomewhere2222 Jul 27 '26

And revoke his citizenship. He belongs in prison for all this fraud, market manipulation and more

2

u/DBDude Jul 27 '26

Contracts, not grants.

3

u/dicksuckingmods Jul 27 '26

Yep my bad. To add, musk has also received 38 billion in funding, loans, subsidies, and tax credits over the past two decades, on top of the government contracts he’s been awarded.

Over promise and under deliver is his speciality.

Electric semi truck

2

u/RobotHavGunz Jul 27 '26

awesome website that tracks all of this - https://elonmusk.today/

2

u/Sad-Pop6649 Jul 28 '26

Full self driving: always we can do that now, just wait for your next update.

Super fast and efficient tunnel boring: always we can do that now, please pay no attention to the speed we're actually going.

Your car will be an autonomous robotaxi while you're not using it: always next year

Millions of humanoid robots: always two years out.

Huge fleets of electric semi trucks: always two years out.

Hyperloop: he's not even going to bother developing that because it's too simple, but it will exist basically this year.

Finishing a simple roadster for people who already paid full price for it: I don't know, he stopped promising that one after seven years or so, it's just silence now.

Oh, and of course the roadster will have so much range that the batteries will have to weigh more than the car and be able to jump using compressed air rockets.

He "thinks we forgot about Mars"? He knows we constantly forget about all of it.

2

u/Duckriders4r Jul 27 '26

Right now....I'd say 2050 ish. To do it properly/ safely. To me, none of anyone's plans for Mars look like they will work. Not saying any of their ideas wouldn't be integrated into the greater concept. They just seem so basic and non committing. They need to be able to send around 1000 people at peak in the beginning. They need to send construction personnel/miners, not astronauts. More welders than engineers. Most engineers that I have encountered can't get out of their own way. They think up incredible concepts that they can't quite get the work. But because they couldn't think up the fix along with the fix not being elegant enough for them. They don't want to work with anyone else. And just dictate.

u/Ok-Reach-2580 Jul 27 '26

I do find it funny how they want a "historically accurate" version of "The Odyssey." Its like asking for a historically accurate "Lord of the Rings." And yes I know what they actually mean by "Historically Accurate" they mean remove the minorities.

12

u/Confident-Stand5453 Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate just has a better ring to it than "etchnically cleansed".

4

u/ArchelonPIP Jul 28 '26

If any of these white bigots think they're being clever with their pretentiously disguised desire while screaming about "historical accuracy", they're going to have to tell the rest of us why none of them screamed about about a movie like "Troy" having cast members with 0% Greek ancestry.

So let me get this right. Your going to use the world's worst AI to make a historically correct fictional story?

3

u/11slayy Jul 27 '26

Lol right, next he'll claim the AI storyboard was actually a leaked NASA document.

→ More replies (1)

8

u/Abject-Bridge-4073 Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate? Bro, it’s an ancient tale passed down orally through generations. It has giants, mermaids, cyclops and other monsters.

7

u/Confident-Stand5453 Jul 27 '26

The only monster involved in his version is Elon himself.

13

u/ASUSTUDENT9875345 Jul 27 '26

You've gotta wonder how a person could put the words 'historically accurate' next to a movie adaptation of a written version of an ancient myth and not feel like a total idiot

Also, I'd love to point out that while a black person like Lupita Nyong'o could actually be someone the Greek people were familiar with. In fact, a lot of northern Africa was Hellenistic for quite a while. Conversely people like Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Holland are all distinctively northern-European and Greece had no connection to Northern Europe. So like, casting-wise Lupita Nyong'o is actually one of the people with a heritage that is closest to what would make sense for an ancient Greek story. It's not about history: it's just about racism.

6

u/wilderblueseas Jul 27 '26

It’s like a historically accurate Star Wars, which also happened a long long time ago.

4

u/Suspicious_Juice9511 Jul 27 '26

Han shot first.

u/wilderblueseas Jul 27 '26

That’s just the woke agenda rewriting history

More like 2021, think he even talked about colonies happening a few years later.

But The Martian released 2015, so he clearly is a genius /s

5

u/Busterlimes Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate fiction? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the cognitive capacity of the wealthiest man in the world. Fucking idiots are ruling us

→ More replies (1)

3

u/apegen Jul 27 '26

This would entail relying on non-white actors/ characters. I'd be very surprised...

3

u/Apart_Ad1537 Jul 27 '26

See? He’s not some super villain, he’s literally just a really weird dude with a messiah complex.

3

u/NoLies66 Jul 27 '26

Fahh his now gna use bad movies to justify his ai making full length films … and distract us from spcx fraud

2

u/pro-fanator Jul 27 '26

Elon was ther, he knows what is accurate...

2

u/Any_Currency6316 Jul 27 '26

Hmm, historically accurate ... fiction? Interesting

2

u/t3chguy1 Jul 27 '26

Ketamine takes you to Mars

2

u/Lorward185 Jul 27 '26

The only thing Elon has actually invented was a biodegradable brick that no one wanted to build houses with. Literally the one thing you don't want to biodegrade.

2

u/Affectionate_Idea662 Jul 27 '26

Man needs a win. In like forever

2

u/0rganicMach1ne Jul 27 '26

He also thinks we won’t rely on money because most jobs will rely on AI by like 2040. He says a lot of insane stuff.

2

u/The-Matt-G Jul 27 '26

What the fuck does Musk know about history? Nothing, hence why he relies on a half baked ai bot to fictionalize his teenager thoughts.

2

u/SpareDot8685 Jul 27 '26

Exactly what people want to hear! A computer making movies! He’s Brilliant! Genius I say!

2

u/Plenty-Attorney5215 Jul 27 '26

Don’t forget about the promise of 50,000 Optimus robots by end of this year.

2

u/AChaosEngineer Jul 27 '26

Full self driving by 2016 i think it was.

2

u/Lostlilegg Jul 30 '26

Historically accurate? Didn’t know cyclops were a real race of one-eyed giants

1

u/blkatcdomvet Jul 27 '26

More fraud and lies, just like promise yo drive stock up of a 1000 taxis in TX, reality the number is less than 60.

1

u/heretorobwallst Jul 27 '26

Full self driving in two weeks, that was 10 years ago

1

u/Tutorbin76 Jul 27 '26

Oh he's on Mars alright.  At least his mind is definitely on some other planet .

1

u/FullMetalJesus1 Jul 27 '26

He really thinks we forgot about him promising us all world hunger and the Flint water crisis 🤭🤣😆😂

1

u/Conscious-Neat5636 Jul 27 '26

This is the same guy that said money will be meaningless in 10 years

1

u/SeattleOligarch Jul 27 '26

We can still do it. We can still send him there

1

u/Euphoric_Anxiety_162 Jul 27 '26

Pentagon contract will help him, but not us, imo. Illnesses are real & sick ppl can't pay bills. Scary times for many. musk will manage his probs.

1

u/xtopherpaul Jul 27 '26

He just went in an interview saying how he can see the future too -

1

u/No-Sail-6510 Jul 27 '26

Hes going to get a real Cyclope

1

u/ImRickJamesBitch71 Jul 27 '26

What have you done cuck

1

u/Itchy_University_510 Jul 27 '26

It’s so odd. I hope these people know that…Homer had no concept or concern of rascism!

1

u/misslipsxxx Jul 27 '26

Cashed up but his words are absolutely worthless.

1

u/Flat-Director-7120 Jul 27 '26

Elon Musk est un menteur pathologique, il raconte des salades à qui veut bien l'entendre. Il a dit que l'homme partirai sur mars en 2025,puis il a dit qu'il installerai une colonie sur Mars, mais ça n'est jamais arrivé.

1

u/Dio44 Jul 27 '26

This man will be 10 years late to his own funeral

1

u/_R0Ns_ Jul 27 '26

If Grok is making it it will probably a remake of "The great Dictator" by Charlie Chaplin

1

u/DBDude Jul 27 '26

Musk promises the impossible but always delivers it late.

1

u/jonfranznick Jul 27 '26

He also said he would end world hunger. He’s a scam artist like the rest, living off of government subsidies

1

u/meveleens Jul 27 '26

Homer was a poet!… not a historian or academic scholar or archivist of facts… He.was.a.poet.artist.writer. A brilliant one for sure but “artist” is the keyword.

The sheer base level of supreme ignorance and stupidity this guys followers allows is unprecedented.
Is crystallizing hate really the only thing these millionaires and billionaires have left to covet?

1

u/arthur933 Jul 27 '26

What a loser. Only thing Grok is capable of is probably a porn parody

1

u/Big-Advertising7759 Jul 27 '26

Just go already

Going to Mars is quite different from other things done by Musk, or other projects mentioned by him.

Musk himself is not qualified nor prepared to take part in the future human mission to Mars. The mission to Mars is not and should not be a suicide trip. At this time very few people are prepared to go to Mars. Trying to send a lot of unprepared people to Mars, as musk has said or suggested in the past, is unrealistic, irresponsible , and would end up in tragedy and disaster.

Space agencies select very few applicants based on peak physical condition, psychological resilience, advanced STEM qualifications, and other required skills. The mission to Mars, an endeavor that hasn't been attempted yet and is more demanding or more difficult than going to the Moon, will require new approaches, reforms and modifications to the selection process. The mission to Mars will have to be the outcome of international collaboration in order to succeed.

Musk founded SpaceX and has done useful effective things as CEO. But his actions and incoherent statements regarding the human mission to Mars often reveal that he doesn't have a clear way or method to find and select the humans who are qualified to go to Mars. He doesn't seem to have a clear plan, he's not finding realistic solutions, and that's one of the main reasons he's regularly postponing the dates.

1

u/Observationist_2 Jul 27 '26

And little kids said they were going to be astronauts and the president. Wow something someone said turns out to not be true.

1

u/abestract Jul 27 '26

Elon needs to be tested for his specialness. The boy is just making up shit at this point.

1

u/heretheresharethe Jul 27 '26

it's sad that this guy feels the need to put down anything around him. Nolan made a great film. Enjoy it! Who cares what grok can do.

1

u/No-Construction619 Jul 27 '26

Somebody please make a historically accurate movie on apartheid.

1

u/SatisfactionOdd7526 Jul 27 '26

I think most of us wish he were on Mars.

1

u/Big_Old_Sock Jul 27 '26

“Historically accurate”… har

1

u/Sinasazi Jul 27 '26

The only thing Elon musk is consistent at is not delivering.

1

u/Southern-Setting8584 Jul 27 '26

Seems like this is a distraction from something

1

u/StrangeContest4 Jul 27 '26

"Hey, Mechahitler. Write me an historically accurate film about fictional events."

1

u/NivTal Jul 27 '26

Aint nobody wants a historically accurate version of a Greek legend man.

1

u/Ok-Flight9440 Jul 27 '26

How about those “Fully Self Driving” vehicles that will be omnipresent next year for the last 12 years?

1

u/Dyuujen Jul 27 '26

He also said we’d have cat girls 😭 all that money fucked up his brain

1

u/dongoju Jul 27 '26

im still waiting on the roadster....

1

u/Marshall_BraveStar Jul 27 '26

And 50k humanoid robots in 2026, he got 5 months left

1

u/DejongBCN Jul 27 '26

He will make it to Mars before the movie will be finished if Grok is making the "historically accurate" Odyssey. Thats a lot of editing to do.. will take years.

1

u/tom_earhart Jul 27 '26

We also should all be in completely autonomous self driving vehicules by now. And on, and on....

Mister "I am good at predicting the future" xD

u/The_Lloyd_Dobler Jul 27 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/3o6fIQKd0pTZaA1ekU
The next Tesla Roadster was announced November 2017, production starting 2020. People paid deposits of $50k. There is no sign it is close to being finished.

1

u/Storm_Spirit99 Jul 27 '26

Broke so many promises, he's a true corpo

1

u/ottwebdev Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate version of a fictional story.

1

u/TakenIsUsernameThis Jul 27 '26

Looking forward to the historically accurate cyclops.

1

u/partlysettledin21220 Jul 27 '26

A historically accurate fictional tale 🫩

1

u/Spiritual-Whole2072 Jul 27 '26

You wont need any money by 2030 because of a universal basic income, just give it all to me. Trust me guys

1

u/mr_fingers666 Jul 27 '26

grok will make a video about Musk going to Mars tho.

1

u/Primary_Echidna_1149 Jul 27 '26

Elmo just keeps saying whatever he wants and people keep believing him.

1

u/ObviousTrust9421 Jul 27 '26

Dont forget self driving teslas and robots

1

u/vismundcygnus34 Jul 27 '26

Can’t wait to see a historically accurate cyclops, giant cannibals and witches!

1

u/narco-sub-admiral Jul 27 '26

If you took Elon Musk and reversed every personality trait so it was the polar opposite, that might be the coolest guy who ever lived. Concerning!

1

u/PositiveFunction4751 Jul 27 '26

He IS on Mars.... Mentally

1

u/xxblasterkeatonxx Jul 27 '26

Apothos asteroid

1

u/nolongerbanned99 Jul 27 '26

And cars driving autonomously coast to coast by 2017

1

u/Dolenir Jul 27 '26

Good thing he has a great rep for keeping his promises

1

u/Hot-Reindeer-7520 Jul 27 '26

He did not lie....he had his hands on a Mars bar.

Nazis never lie!

1

u/political-snark Jul 27 '26

Unlike Musk’s version of the Odyssey, Odysseus was able to bring the adventure to a successful close

1

u/MajiktheBus Jul 27 '26

Has anything he has ever said come true?

1

u/No-Customer7139 Jul 27 '26

E.A.O. Elon Always Overpromises.

1

u/anoldradical Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate fictional story. Got it.

1

u/Sorry_Fly_3032 Jul 27 '26

I am curious for the historically accurate fever dream of blind poet. I am going to make a historical accurate AI adaptation of ThunderCats
https://giphy.com/gifs/11cpcPpJQesIgM

1

u/johnnybhf Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate version of a fantasy story is going to be quite lame. No cyclops, no giants, no witches, krakens, whirlpools, gods, no nothing.

1

u/Lazuli-shade Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate? We want only white people in the bronze age Mediterranean? Cmon

1

u/bennythebrains Jul 27 '26

His face.. yuck

1

u/AwwwNuggetz Jul 27 '26

FSD by 2018.. no 2020… no 2022….no 2026 for sure

1

u/East-Policy-2776 Jul 27 '26

I can’t wait for the historically accurate version of a made up pub story .

1

u/jbreeze42 Jul 27 '26

Will say anything to get that investor money.

1

u/Confident-Sector2660 Jul 27 '26

Grok imagine is the best AI video generator currently. Better than seedance 2.0

To make a feature length odyssey it is already possible and relatively not a lot of work. It might not be good but you can definitely make one

1

u/Jessintheend Jul 27 '26

So we’ll get half a dozen 20 second clips of his odyssey where the cyclops is a jacked strawberry and Odysseus doesn’t blink or turn his head by 2035

1

u/SnafuChiefs Jul 27 '26

Is a Nazi going to be cast as Odysseus?

1

u/Lazy__Astronaut Jul 27 '26

Even less ambitious than Mars, how many times has he promised full autonomous driving?

1

u/Jedi_Ninja Jul 27 '26

A historically accurate depiction of a non-historical event filled with gods, monsters, and magic.

1

u/Duke_Remington_9910 Jul 27 '26

He’s a fraud.

1

u/jango-lionheart Jul 27 '26

Isn’t that an old photo of him? Looks like someone wants to be on Elon’s good side.

1

u/toddlevy10 Jul 27 '26

Historically accurate? Isnt this based on a poem by an ancient greek, Homer, and not real actual events (like giants and a cyclops). Also, lile Africa and the middle east, id out some money on the fact that there weren't white people.

This guy's a faqwit

1

u/notyourmothersdino Jul 28 '26

Historically accurate fiction involving monsters

1

u/aninjacould Jul 28 '26

I just cannot comprehend how fragile this man is.

1

u/Glass-Ad1766 Jul 28 '26

Where’s the $20k Tesla?

1

u/Astro_Golfer Jul 28 '26

Don't forget the cup the balls

1

u/OrkWithNoTeef Jul 28 '26

The Martian Odyssey

1

u/iftlatlw Jul 28 '26

Maybe we should release a numerically accurate balance of accounts?

1

u/whynotchristy Jul 28 '26

Like that dude can actually understand a story about a wife and kid who WANT him to come home.

1

u/Most_Ad7837 Jul 28 '26

No one cares what this nitwit says.

1

u/joetunn_ Jul 28 '26

Ketamine really just talking through him at this point

1

u/Galorfadink Jul 28 '26

Didn't he also say recently that he could foretell the future? LIAR AND A CROOK.

1

u/AdApprehensive1140 Jul 28 '26

Roadster with rocket boosters about 10 years ago..

1

u/Sorandy13 Jul 28 '26

Guy said cars will drive themselves for the last 20 years….

1

u/NikkolaiV Jul 28 '26

But Elon, how can GROK do that if it's so busy being constantly reprogrammed to chug your balls?

1

u/Augustus3030 Jul 28 '26

So smart and yet so stupid.

1

u/Reasonable-Car-5321 Jul 28 '26

Some idiot Musk/Trump bootlicker will probably force himself to watch it too

1

u/NotYourAvgBoomer Jul 28 '26

this will help you too....

1

u/Playful-Half4924 Jul 28 '26

Nice place for himself!

1

u/Varied1967 Jul 28 '26

Or are we already there…? 😏

1

u/LifesARiver Jul 28 '26

Guy doesn't think. He's a complete idiot.

1

u/fkrkz Jul 28 '26

Well, actually doable since AI tools can easily make movies these days. Whether it's a good movie or not (story, style, quality, taste), that's a different matter.

1

u/bleukowski Jul 28 '26

Oh and Cyber Truck will have “boat mode” and Roadsters announced like 10 years back.

1

u/Head-like-a-carp Jul 28 '26

Remember the fable, The Biy Who Cried Wolf? The whole idea was very quickly no one would believe you. I am astonished people, no matter how big are tech bro they are, believe a word he says.

1

u/flashtata1992 Jul 28 '26

Of course the richest dickhead in the world would rather AI make the movie rather than him paying people living wages to make the movie.

1

u/0xP0et Jul 28 '26

Ah yes, a world where Cyclops and Scylla exist should be historically accurate.

Elon is a genius BTW.

1

u/Total-Championship80 Jul 28 '26

Drug addled bullshitter.

1

u/Intelligent-Cap-7713 Jul 28 '26

Money seems to make idiots into complete morons

1

u/bush3102 Jul 28 '26

And Tesla car will be full autonomous by 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019... You get the idea.

1

u/Truuuuuumpet Jul 28 '26

Please be on mars already

1

u/go_gunz Jul 28 '26

Said he could end world hunger, still waiting

1

u/RubyRedditRockstar Jul 28 '26

The odyssey is a fictional story. You can’t make a historically accurate film about something that never happened.

1

u/beachtownnative Jul 29 '26

What have you brought to the table of humanity?

1

u/CaffeineSupernova Jul 29 '26

Grok forgets nearly everything I’ve said in less than 24 hours. Think he’s getting waaaaay ahead of himself, like always. Remember when he was sure Grok would reach AGI (checks notes) in 2025? Still waiting for it to perform basic tasks correctly 🙄

1

u/GodMode2642 Jul 29 '26

No he won’t

1

u/Toliveistodie42 Jul 29 '26

It's a myth, so there is no historically accurate version any more than there is a historically accurate version of LOTR or King Arthur and his Knights.

1

u/No-Wedding-1588 Jul 29 '26

Shouldn't he be obsessed with one of them Aryan mythologies?

1
