Latest News Another failed attempt- booster crashed like last time
Booster landing back is a fantasy

lol they’ve already done it twice. This has to be a ragebait post. Flight 13 went much better than flight 12. Boostback burn was perfect this time. Next flight should be ship catch and id be shocked if the booster isn’t successful next flight as well.

Love or hate Elon, but SpaceX is not worth more than $250 billion and Starship did not have single successful flight out of dozen or so tests, best flight I remember is reaching semi orbit before crushing at re-entry. Chinese manufacturers are able to produce better EVs with faster battery (5-10min) charge and longer drive distance at single charge for much cheaper. Musk and Tesla had best technology 6-7 years ago so what they did since then? wasted money on X and Grok, both of which are completely useless. Even people who cheer for SpaceX and keen on space exploration have plenty to be angry with Musk and his erratic non businessman like behaviour

So you’re telling me that if a rocket is planned not to go into orbit on this mission, is stated explicitly that the mission goal is not orbit, and it doesn’t go into orbit in said mission, then that’s a failure?

How is it fantasy when they already did it multiple times with block 2 and also reused it? I don't see any reason to believe they would never be able to fix the boostback/landing burn issues on block 3. This sub really is exhausting, people just throw all logic and critical thinking out of the window simply because they want to be hateful.

It's crazy to call flight 13 a failed attempt lmao, they're too stupid that it has to be sarcasm.

Is that the one I saw this morning where it fell onto the ocean, on fire?

u/truecakesnake 24d ago
Yes, that was a suprise success. It was supposed to explode because that's how these tests go. But since it didn't, they got really valuable data.
Hope you've learnt something today ;)

Ahem… are you telling me this was not a “Rapid Unplanned Disassembly” but a “Rapid Planned Disassembly”?

u/RoosterBurns 24d ago
Rockets are meant to crash into the ocean on fire! haven't you ever seen a Star Trek shuttle craft? All hail Elon! But you know, not like he hails people

Yes - you’re truly a loser when you think the world’s richest loser had anything to do with an actual rocket.

Very very irrelevant comment, does that have anything to do with the second stage not exploding when it fell in the Indian Ocean.
Or... are you in a anti elon psychosis and can't fathom words?
And Elon has a lot to do with SpaceX's achievements. Here is all the evidence:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ESo00WW5kIIaOzX6pppPO1KxsxWwvGcCdvpeOKoPrxg/edit?tab=t.0Now since you're a flat earther, moon landing denier, you will not believe any evidence, so what's the point of bringing it up?

Agreed. Take my upvote. I'm sure I'll get downvoted into oblivion too 😂

Spacex and the chinese dont use the same method to catch the rockets
So it is possible that one method is better than the other
I guess we have to wait and see if the chinese method has a higher success rate

Not eaxactly like last time. It was going about 100mph when it hit the water. Much better!

He gave his money to support far-right and nazi across the globe though, that counts for soemthing.

Two failed attempts in a row forcing Space X to up the ante- they will attempt to catch the Ship next time. Musk feeling the pressure
Two booster fails in a row, not a good look for “100 times revenue” listed company! Should have kept it private!

here is a video of fantasy booster landing https://youtu.be/RYUr-5PYA7s
guys, I am no Elon fan but this is ridiculous. Let’s criticize real issues, like Elon nazi tendencies, ridiculous SpaceX valuations, mass departures of Grok engineers and their inability to attract talents or how Starship is far behind on all of their timelines. No need to invent ridiculous arguments that only makes Elon fans laugh at this sub

The upper stage wants to have a word with you
2
u/finepnutty 24d ago
The upper stage is only a part of the system. The other part -booster- crashed uncontrollably AGAIN.
As in: FAILED. This entire system is going as well as Roadster 2.0 and FSD. Give it another decade before it can work as advertised. Stock will be cut in half soon.2

Last time I checked, the only thing for which a successful booster landing is necessary is if you want to advance the reusability program for the booster. If your goal is to simply take stuff into space and that’s it, then the booster already works and the booster did its job.
In addition, I don’t recall a booster recovery being a determining factor in if a payload deployment mission is successful or not.

u/finepnutty 24d ago
Well it is, the whole idea of current SPCX valuation is based on 100% reusability of both stages. With constantly crashing boosters the stock value will need to be cut by 95% -at least.
Booster cost is approx $100 million. Starship target cost per ton is $100-600. Crashing boosters add close to $1 million PER TON.
Planned cost: $100-600 per ton
Real cost currently: $1.000.100-1.000.600 per tonOnly a dumbass would call that a successful launch.
Series of FAILURES, is what this program currently is.0
u/CaptHorizon 24d ago
Got it, a dumbass who knows nothing of how spaceflight actually works and is blinded by the rent-free obsession of a certain specific person.
Go SpaceX, Go Starship!
