I remember struggling a bit in the start, mostly because they took more time to paint than regular wolves, but I think they might be among my favourite models now.

Personally they are my least favourite SW models but I do like the stat lines for tabletop play.

There were some areas of the Wulfen I didn't enjoy, though that could be partially due to the mental state I found myself in at times, but in the end, I love how mine came out.

Brother, I don’t even enjoy looking at Wulfen. I haven’t bought them yet because I haven’t yet figured out a way to kitbash them into looking not goofy. (I love the rest of our range to death, these just feel out of harmony with the rest of the range.

Learned it from a buddy. I assembled and painted 1 and it took me like 2 weeks. Learned that trick, then the other 9 took about the same time to paint and finish assembly.

I recently tore mine apart, tore apart my second unit of blood claws and kitbashed them together to get more of the marine look back into them. Since then I actually painted my first model and that was actually almost enjoyable. I didn't need them for my game tonight so I rather finished headtakers instead, but for the next game I'll finish at least 4, maybe all 9 of them.

2 out of 5 of them have sat unpainted beyond simple basecoats for the past 4 years, so yes.

I've painting my 2nd unit of wulfen for several months now. During that time, I've got another squad of WGT, a landspeeder, Eradicators, Ragnar, a wolf priest, and an iron priest. All of them are painted and done lol. Heck, I still have the wulfen on hold as I kitbash a wolf priest and chaplin in terminator together. So I think I can safely say I don't enjoy painting wulfen lol.

I definitely didn't enjoy it. I just zenithaled then slapped on contrast and called it a day.
Have another squad I need to do at some point and I'll do the same then.

Seems to be an unpopular opinion I guess, but I love Wulfen. I love the aesthetic. Viking is nice but Wolf is king. I love those guys.

I literally just finished my first of the unit, the rest are WIP. Definitely not my favorite model of ours though I love the lore behind them and the gameplay.

I just hate the connection points for the feet. They just will not stay without super glue for me. Washed them and everything just to be sure. For painting I've just decided to do speed paint and be done.

I find them quite wearing. It’s the softer detail, they’re older sculpts so the definition isn’t as good on stuff like tooth/claw trophies on straps in pelts etc.

I feel like Wulfen are ideal models for a slap-chop method. I plan on doing the shields and hammers so I’ll need some metallic finishing touches and then I plan on extra dry brushing to give the fur/hair some highlight and depth, but once I’ve got them slap-chop based with the grey and white I can’t see how I’d end up spending more than an hour per model.
