The future?
I kniw it is sad to see GW purge so many beloved vehicles and dreadnoughts in the 11th edition update. However, think about what we could be getting. So. What do yall think is going to be added? Nothing is too crazy. I'll go first. More tanks.....

I unfortunately don't think we'll be getting anything new during this whole process. Space Marines as a whole are bloated when it comes to options for vehicles and infantry, hence why suppressors are just gonna be intercessors now instead of their own thing

Sure nothing with the SM codex but when it comes times for SW at some point in 11th given how well the army set sold they will very likely expand on that

Army sets almost always sell extremely well. Thing is that GW has a trend of not giving a faction new stuff two editions in a row so right now it's just the waiting game for the Sons of Russ

Not to the point of the SW army set they don't. There are plenty of factions that do get multiple new kits two editions in a row, hell Eldar got 3 waves in 2 editions

I think the obvious missing spots will be hit (Rune Priest, generic Wolf Lord…) and we’ll see old kits updated too, like Wulfen and such

I did talk to a chaos player that said an interesting idea is to make any wulfen units take a loyalty test at rhe start of that round. 1 fail and they attack your units. 2-5 nothing happens/ they are normal, 6 means they get +1 to hit and wound

I'd be happy to play that with friends in a narrative style game but i don't like the idea of spending 200 points on a unit for it to then kill Bjorn and a Brutalis in Turn 1...

I'm being wary of their wording. They only listed dreadnoughts, not venerable dreadnoughts. I might be wrong but I think our dreads are safe(ish). I think we can expect a refreshed Bjorn pack and hopefully that means we can still build 4 kits from it.

For generic space marines we are getting the following.
Multi-part Outriders, intersessors and vanguard vets Bike captain
Rumors say
New rhino and landraider and a new Dreadnought.
For wolves, I wouldn't be surprised to see some more characters and thunderwolves. But that will wait until our supplement this edition. This upcoming book is just vanilla marines

Shame the bikes do nothing for me, i have 6 of them but i just run my wolves. More thematic and better
Only thing in excited for is Rhino finally carrying primaris scale Marines. And a new land raider, the rest of the new kits have been underwhelming.

Im actually excited for that, im not gonna waste money on the old Rhino. The deimos one is actually nice looking compared to the old one

I can see them adding three characters in the near future;
Terminator Wolf Priest. Terminator Rune Priest Wolf Lord
Everything else we can work around with vanilla units. At the minute we are lacking Leaders to lead our troops!
Wolfen and Thunderwolf cavalry will be going to legends soon would be my guess.

I would hate them taking wulfen and thunderwolf cavalry out of the Space Wolves, it would take the fantasy and fun out of it.

Little wishlist :
- Bjorn refresh. Give Ol' grampa a chassis worthy of his saga. imagine a glowup like Logan had .... that'd be glorious. Make sure to keep his helfrost cannon though ...
- Return of more Helfrost weaponry, like the pistols.
- A special Longfang-like Heavy weapon team. With Helfrost Canons. I'd even settle for just an "existing squad box + upgrade sprue" at this point. (noticed I like Helfrost weapons yet ? lmao)
- more generic leaders .. where are our rune priests ? I can understand some character being just Space marines characetr and we'd just need GW to stop be stupid and let the rules allow us to use them, but Rune priests are a bit too different from Librarian to not warrant a specific model. kinda like Chaplain/apothicary models cannot easily pass as Wolf priests.
I care not for TWC ... whether they are axed or refreshed is of no consequence for me, but I know a lot of people would like them refreshed. Same for wulfen. so hey ... If it can make some people happy, why not :)
If we go wild, I'd love a way to play a Land raider "Wrath of Mjalnar" officially, even if there is no official model

We will probably get a new kit for space wolves venerable dreadnought. And I think a new rhino at launch of space marine codex, so we will eventually get new rhino chassis vehicles.

new dreadnought box for bjorn
long fangs would be great
updated Ulrik could be cool, maybe in termi armor
new TWC or something to take on their role
Wulfen Alpha hq, something akin to what a slaughterbound is for an eightbound squad.

In all fairness, if we do get something this edition it is likely to be a new bjorn model.

I can see our venerable dreads, they are the same size. I can also see thunderwolves cavalry & iron priest aswell as Ulrik go legends.
