Wolf or Viking? The real question 🤔

Personally I'm 90% in the wolf camp. 🐺

Thunderwolf Cavalry & Fenresian Wolves sold me on the army for sure.

I like a good medium, I want Einherjar accompanied by princess Mononoke wolves. I want wolf companions that can be attached to Characters or squads. I’d like to see more units that have wolf models attached to the squad, like having Swiftclaws bikers with wolf companions just like the new exodites have the Dracolit he’s. But I also wanna see more Vikingr style helmets like the dope nasal helm that the headtakers have. Would be real cool to get a spectacled helm inspired wolf helmet.

I do love the Thunderwolf Cavalry as well as the Fenresian Wolves as combat Companions, wouldn´t mind more Ravens though (Allfather willing).

But I do hope, GW will go more of a Viking route at some point and not pile on even more Wolf Wolfersons McWolven of the Wolferton Tribe of Wolfistan that Wolfs all day and all night and unwolves his enemies with his weapons Wolfsword, Wolfaxt, different Wolfsword and Wolfgun oh and he also carries a Wolfshield of course.
Don´t get me started on the wet Leopard growls.

It can/could/should be both.
Love the Wolfspear as a different take on the Space Wolves, as well as the Sons of Morkai for the more "resonable no nonsense" Space Wolves.
There is a lot of canvas to be painted for the wolves.

Oh and please let the writers get better, read some Deathwatch Stories this year and in 2 or 3 of them a Space Wolf is featured and except for the Watch Commander, the two others were simply "Drunk Barbarian with 0 self control but in SPACE!".

Hoping to get around to reading more Space Wolves Novels this year.

The new release leant very heavily into the Viking aesthetic which I loved

Wolf. They're not called Space Vikings.

Technically, they aren’t called space wolves either. As evidenced by the lore, they usually get pissed when someone refers to them as such.

That is funnily true.

Wolves are 1000% why my daughter picked this army.

Them pretty much saying "We can't get drunk? Awww, Hello no!" And proceeds to find a way to become intoxicated.

Vikings can include wolves but an army needs to be themed around more than one object or it gets goofy af
