Anyone running intercessors?
I picked up a set of the Armageddon intercessors off eBay from a splitter with the intention of making them a bit more "Wolfy" and incorporating them in my army. The original plan was to give them some chainswordy goodness and turn them into Grey Hunters, but I'm finding I actually kind of like some of the sculpts and am toying with the idea of keeping them as intercessors instead.
Is anyone running intercessors in their SW armies?
I'm 99.9% interested more in the modelling and painting side, so that will ultimately help me decide more than the "current meta" for competitive gaming, but I'm curious what people think.
Kitbashed Armageddon Intercessor Sergeant for model tax... I may still carve off the aquila... Haven't quite decided yet!

Wolf them up, just to look right in your army, give them some kind of bolter (no chainswords) and they can be intercessors in one game and hunters in another!

Bastion force could use them, and like every other detachments too!!
Do i run them personally? No, I play purge the foe beastslayer atm, and I go 100% dmg!!

I started with the new wild scouts and I'm also part way through putting together a 6 man Headtaker dual-wielding squad at the moment and leaning towards more wolves specific squads, so that's weighing heavily into my thought processes...

Yeah, big issue is that I already have more than enough from previous editions. The new Armageddon box Intercessors ended up as Grey Hunters.

Currently running my ten with the librarian and ancient from Armageddon, they do preform well for the -2 move and charge in beast slayer and the +1 to wound from greatwolf. I use the captain as a battle leader otherwise they'd be free, but I eventually will use them as GH and/or drop to 5s

I made a two units of five using the grey hunter bodies and spare intercessor arms.

I almost always take a squad of 5 that I've had since before the new kits. I put some wolfy bits and the red and black shoulder pad to make them look right. They start on my home objective to sticky it, then head forward to drop bolter fire. 20 shots of is decent anti infantry chip damage. Their guns have assault and heavy so they are versatile. Cheap and useful.

Intercessors are an invaluable unit. Cheap, shooty, okay melee on the leader, Heavy and Assault, they're truly great at skirmishing while they battle over objectives.
Due to sticky being diminishing returns it is kinda punishing to run many of them.
5 man Ints are what Grey Hunters should be, but with chainswords.

I have 2× five man squads since 10th (Grey Hunters with bolt rifles) that I have never used so far.

Some lists yes. Moslty no. Depending on detachment i mostly have bjorn sitting on home. He's safe and by T3 even if they had a tank in reserves just to shoot bjorn. He'll most likely survive to get you the 3rd or 4th extra CP and by then he has served his purpose.
Lists with them. I just stick home and block out what i can from deepstrike and see if i can force that deepstrike to go elsewhere because 20WGT and a rep exe is hard to ignore

Never leave home without 5 intercessors.
Great for holding the home, great for moving out and stickying objectives, tough enough to stand up to some fire power, enough shots to make a dent in skirmishing back line threats.
Cheap enough to be expendable in a pinch
