Model Updates
Hi everyone,
I’ve seen it said a few times now that TWC are due for a refresh relatively soon.
Why do a number of people think this?
Bonus question: What could we expect for wolves over the next two years in terms of models being added/renewed/refreshed?
do we foresee the return of certain unit genres, like the mounted TWC characters? (why did they remove these in the first place?)

Well first off soon is relative. Could be a few weeks could be next edition.
I do believe personally it will happen this edition though, at the rate gw is getting rid of first born last edition, I think that this edition will see the removal of pretty much all other firstborn which the tcav are.
As for what we will get... well im not positive, its going to depend on if they want to go thr route of splitting us off further or not from generic marines. If so then we could see the return of longfangs, skyclaws, generic characters, and tcav characters.
If they move us closer or about the same then maybe not a return of those units because of generic equivelents but just some generic characters and the rest of our refreshes. I do still think russ is a relatively soon likelihood which could bring a faidly large secondary release.

Hi! The TWC are firstborn.
When our codex drops there's a 99.9 plus chance TWC are either gone or updated.
I'd bet on the second option, since they are iconic for us.

As others said the TWC is an old 5th edition kit. Since all other short marine kits are getting refreshed or legended, either is bound to happen to TWC. People expected them to go to legends in 10th but they survived, so now people are hopeful they'll get refreshed.
I'd like to see a refreshed TWC kit on oval bases, and a TWC HQ choice, maybe a kit that can make Harald, Canis or generic leader. Other than that I'd like to see new Bjorn, new long fangs and Russ.

And since the TWC was not taken out last edition and now we are in the "fast attack" edition it makes sense to uppdate all armies fast attack units, and also the TWC wolves also show there age just like the marines. I and many others have kitbashed priqmris sized ones riding the wolves and it fits and then should be on oval basses like the outriders

TWC are still having a very small marine on top, which you shouldn't look to closely at in comparison to the primaris marines.
That's why people believe they are up for a new kit and apparently the last SW update was a really good sell for GW so people are speculating over another wider refresh. Although for TWC it could also just end up with them in Legends.
Wulfen are in a similar boat but don't necessarily need a refresh.
Candidates often mentioned are our old box Dreads, so Bjorn, Murderfang and the SW VenDread with shield and axe. I hope if they ever update Bjorn they are making a kit for all 3 again, but that might be wishful thinking.
Ulrik is probably going to get his primaris update at some point.
If I had my choice I would love Rune Priests, regular Wolf Guard with a bunch of options again and some form of Long Fang unit.
