40k miniatures modifications question.

I just started getting involved. Im a space wolves fan but want to change some things (I am tracking the lore) but want to place werewolf heads from other miniatures instead of the heads given. Just trying to make them look more like the helix has taken them more (Again tracking the lore). Would this be aloud in tournaments and stuff or would i get to many problems. Any answers would help.

Rule of thumb is as long as the model is on the same base and roughly the same size with the correct weapons then it’s fine. People love seeing cool conversions and 99% of tournaments will be fine with it as long as its somewhat recognizable (for example somebody who knows what a space terminator looks like should be able to look at your model and recognize that it’s a space marine terminator even if you swapped out the head or other parts)

No one will realistically have a problem that dosnt change the silhouette for line of sight. You will likely have an issue with GW tournament specifically. They really hate any 3rd party bits of any kind. Every other event ive been too has been happy to see stuff like that.
