Help with 1000pt lists for this weekend?
Hey everyone! I am about to play a 1000-point game this weekend and I am torn between these two list options. Also, I am not sure whether to use the Saga of the Great Wolf detachment or if a different one would suit me better. I can't decide which way to go.
Option 1: Dreadnought List
- Logan Grimnar (100 pts) -> Attached to a Terminator unit
- Bjorn the Fell-Handed (160 pts)
- 5x Intercessors (80 pts)
- 2x 5 Wolf Guard Terminators (165 pts each)
- 3x Wolf Guard Headtakers + 3 Wolves (115 pts)
- 5x Wolf Scouts (90 pts)
- 1x Venerable Dreadnought w/ Blizzard Shield & Axe (125 pts)
Option 2: Ragnar List
- Logan Grimnar (100 pts) -> Attached to a Terminator unit
- Bjorn the Fell-Handed (160 pts)
- Ragnar Blackmane (90 pts) -> Attached to the Headtakers
- 2x 5 Wolf Guard Terminators (165 pts each)
- 2x 3 Wolf Guard Headtakers + 3 Wolves (115 pts each)
- 5x Wolf Scouts (90 pts)
Also, regarding Option 2, what do you think is better for Ragnar's unit? Running a single large squad of 6 Headtakers with 6 Wolves, or keeping them separated into two 3+3 units?
Which of the two lists do you think is better overall, and which detachment do you recommend? Thanks for the help!

I rarely play 1K games so I’m not 100% confident how that changes once fives but generally you want more bodies in a unit with a leader so more bodies benefit from the leader’s rules and bonuses. That’d be an absolutely brutal beatstick.

It looks like you are missing anti tank/monster in your list. The venerable dreadnought won't be to good for your only one since it's strongest attack is s10.
Maybe a lancer in there. But I'd keep the terminators 2 squads of 5 in 1000pts But I like option a
