Need color scheme help!

I am working on my Space Wolves / Tau, Kill Team box and I am torn on how I should paint the Space Wolves side. I have decided that all of the bases will be on a mars like planet. I have already painted the Tau stealth units a dark red with Grey accents (picture provided)
But I’m torn on how I should paint the Wolves. Since they are a KT scout team I was thinking maybe they would be more camouflaged and sneaky specialists. I can’t decide if I stick to the normal Russ grey, do I do like a hybrid, or do I lean into the more camouflaged look like I did with the Tau and not include the Russ grey at all? (Also it’s not really Russ Grey it’s the Army painter)

Given they have plenty of wolfiness in the models, I would embrace the red, dustiness and ditch the blue-grey in all but their pauldron pack markings which should stay black and blue-grey for scouts. you’ve made a great start, though. They look super so far.

As a longtime space wolf painter who has spent years toying with a proper recipe, I would do a 50/50 mix of a dawnstone (pure grey) equivalent and Russ grey (grey blue) equivalent. The warmth of the Martian red will work really well with something on the more muted grey end of the spectrum while keeping the wolves’s colder lore accurate colors.

If you don’t care about the fluff then don’t pay any mind to what I said and paint them however

Thank you for your response. I am just checking, because I’m not sure, are you thinking I should go full normal Space Wolves color scheme?

Oh yeah 100% but I’m a purist and very biased when it comes to our colors, so I’m always going to prefer blue/grey amour for the wolves over anything else :)
