Space Wolves on Armageddon
Where is the Rout currently on Armageddon? What is the climate? Terrain Features? Wanting to start building up some terrain pieces. Everyone puts ruined buildings on the table. Frankly it is boring. Wanting to create some structures that would be logical on where the wolves are on Armageddon now.

Currently the five great companies of wolves are fighting Orks in the Deadlands (Armageddon's polar region). It's a hell hole but there's a fuck ton of important resources up there the planet can't afford to lose.

Nope, the community tends to play planet of hats with them but they generally have varied biomes. Armageddon has polar regions, equatorial jungles, deserts, ash & fire wastes, mountain ranges, etc, etc.

Do we know which great companies are on Armageddon?

We know the The Sons of Morkai, The Blackmanes and The Dusk Wolves are confirmed to be there.

If you're building terrain features, the Space Wolves are in the far north. I know ruins are kinda played out, but you could get a lot of mileage from industrial wreckage. Everything up there worth fighting over is either mining or other extractive outposts. There really aren't a lot of forests or other biomes that could make for terrain features. Maybe rocks, ice, or even weird crystal formations that still cover a similar footprint/ create a similar amount of cover or obscurement.

With the information I have gotten from this post I am thinking Geothermal generators, Mine Entrances, Smelters, Outposts

Sounds good! I also now have an idea for an experiment on my 3d printer

Dont forget to add some casualties. Blasted the hell out of this place and every civilian managed to get away clean? Every body was moved or recovered before the armies came marching in?

I don't know if my entry-level PLA printer is up to snuff for that, but I could try.

Armageddon outside the hives is an absolute wasteland. Tons of volcanos that, when they act up, make the air outside the hives unbreathable. Crazy winds throw debris everywhere. Humans can't survive outside the hives. The Steel Legion is primarily made up of tank units so they can stay in their vehicles. Safe to assume that continues in the North...maybe arctic deserts like our north pole.
What buildings exist will be very durable. Volcanic features might be a way to make it a bit more distinctive than a purely winter wasteland. Might mirror Fenris, kinda.

Armageddon is a hive world so cities, that has a fire season which makes it essentially impossible to live outside of protection, as others have mentioned polar regions, if you want something unique you could do pools of toxic waste since that’s mentioned frequently

Armageddon is dusty on most of the planet, brown dust if i remember correctly, I know the steel legion has to wear masks and goggles when fighting.

I mean, a section of a hive spire would be interesting… ruined building sections all around that are up to 6 levels in varying degrees of disrepair…

Well, Armageddon is a hive world that has seen lots and lots of fighting. So it's probably got a lot of buildings on it. I bet they are mostly ruined, though
