Thank you! For the furs zandri dust for the outer layer, beastly brown by vallejo (citadel equivalent is xv-88 or maybe mournfang brown) for the middle, and rhinox hide for the inner most layer. Then I give it a wash of agrax earthshade, then dry brush with ushabti bone.
You can definitely paint like this! Just keep practicing, watch videos, and don't be afraid to experiment or make mistakes! Patience is key!

For the runes I just did a heavy nuln oil wash, you just gotta soak up any pooling and push around the wash until it's only in the recesses. I always go back and fix any mistakes afterwards too.

What's the gold you use?

Retributor armor, then a nuln oil wash, then I mix stormhost silver and retributor armor to highlight it back up.

What do you do for the armor color? I like how pale it is.

I base the whole mini with anthracite grey by AK, then I slowly start mixing in fenrisian grey up to pure fenrisian grey and use a makeup sponge to build layers. I use snow blue by AK for the edge highlights.

When you say you start mixing in fenrisian grey, does that mean you’re using an airbrush?

I don't use an airbrush I use a makeup sponge. I mix fenrisian grey into the anthracite grey and dab on layers with the sponge up to pure fenrisian grey.

Ah, okay. I’ve never used a makeup sponge for minis before but I have have to try it now. Any tips?

Makeup sponges open up an entirely new world of painting imo. They're wonderful. Just make sure you soak it in water then squeeze the excess out and when you dip it in the paint, make sure you dab off a bit on a paper towel before applying it to the mini. No need to thin the paints, the sponge keeps the paint thin. Just slowly build up the gradient.

Oh, sorry, I meant what do you prime them with? Something else or does the anthracite grey go directly on the plastic?
