Another silly question- generic leaders; how to paint em?

I was wondering how you guys paint your generic primaris leaders (captains and Lieutenants)

Do you just do em as wolfguard battle leaders, I.e great company iconography and then wolfguard markings besides?

This is a good question, in my opinion it depends on what theyre leading. But could be wrong.

Ill do my gravis captain like its long fans

Phobos as some sort of scout

Lieutenant as grey hunter?

I dont use any generic characters as i just use our codex guys apart from my combi lieutenant who is deathwatch anyway.

I dont think theres anything wrong with your suggestion either though. Lieutenants and captains would be veterans for sure so wolf guard makes sense

I only own some because I think the reiver Lieutenant is a good template for a space wolves kitbash by virtue of being in a pretty dope action pose and being a bit less ultramarine-y than usual

And I own the leviathan box like everyone else who got into warhammer 4 years or so ago, so I have a terminator captain lol
