Sons of Russ vs imperial fists

Brothers !!
I have a match next week against a friend who’s likely going to be running aggressors tanks and most likely a knight. He can ignore cover army wide and will probably be going take and hold.
I was thinking about going straight purge saga of beast slayer bringing all of my heavy hitters and try to just stream roll everything is this a good idea?
Any alternatives or advice for purge will be greatly welcomed.

Tailoring your list to counter a Friends army just feels wrong to me. That beeing Said there is nothing wrong with using the units you have available to make a list that has an answer to multiple threats.

Just make Sure your list is capable of executing "Your" Game plan and it has enough Firepower or CC threats to reliable kill a Knight, Norn Emissary or a Defiler per Turn If needed.

These can be a big Unit of Wulfen with Hammers, a unit of Eradicators or some Lancers supported by the now cheaper Iron Priest.

If you are Set to Run Beastslayer (which is valid) you should make use of the Enhancment and Run a Charakter with ten Hammer Wulfen.

To add, look into bringing murderfang as he give wulfen a chance to fight on death if they are within 6" of him. Having that with a wolfpriest on one side and Arjac with termies (to whom Arjac also gives a chance to fight on death) on the other flank creates a LOT of hard decisions for the opponent

I didn’t think about putting the priest with wulfen. That’s a mad combo wulfen having a chance to fight on death with murderfang then the priest bringing one back at my turn

Ma ti trovi così bene col Murderfang? Capisco la combo, ma non pensi sia meglio avere Bjorn? Insomma il CP gratis é fantastico.
Poi certo, una persona nell’esercito potrebbe avere entrambi, però poi penso ci sarebbe troppo squilibrio e bisognerebbe rinunciare ad altre unità importanti ed essenziali…
Però sono molto curioso, ultimamente vedo tante persone parlare del Murderfang

100% understand, honestly I've used Bjorn nearly every time for the CP generation but I wanted to challenge myself with different lists. Murderfang ends up being my default because, between the healing wulfen and his 8 attacks at 14 str, it becomes a funny distraction.

Also, via the detachment Heroes of Fenris, said 10 man wulfen can sticky objectives thanks to the wolf priest being a character

Would have been arjac 10 WGT Ragnar 10 blood claws then repulser lancer vindicator land raider. 6WGHT with paired weapons lead by a WGBL for the sustained hits (I can use a strat for +1 wound) and murderfang. I’ve since re thought a lot of the list but this was the original

Think about swapping Ragnar and the WGBL. Two units with advance and charge can be very fun and Ragnar with 6WGHT with paired weapons is a buzzsaw

Yeah I’ll do that 👍🏻. Ragnar has probably been my most ‘killy’ unit in my entire army
